Including interesting facts on the language, along with insights into the history of the region, word lists and how these translations came about. The series is indebted to the work of nineteenth century word list compilers, contemporary compilers of word lists, and professional scholars including R.M.W. Dixon, The Languages of Australia (1980) and Jakelin Troy, The Sydney Language (1992).
The locations of the languages featured in the Tourist's Guides are marked by a red dot on the map of Australia to the right as well as on the front of each guide.
